A bunch of major highways run through Irvine from Interstate 5 and Interstate 405 (California) to various California State Routes. 

The city of Irvine has a mass-transit bus service (iShuttle) that’s been in operation since 2008. 

Irvine has a commuter rail service to Los Angeles, San Diego, and Riverside. 

There’s also a cluster of bicycle paths in an attempt to encourage residents to use greener transportation.
